UFO's have landed! Oh, never mind...it is only the Casa Grande Domes!

The strange Casa Grande Domes located in Casa Grande, Arizona have been sitting empty since 1983.  

The domes were created and intended to be the headquarters for a new manufacturing plant (InnerConn Technology Inc.) from California.  However, due to money issues the project was never finished and the state of California took over the property.  In 2006 the property was bought and the new owners had the difficult task of fencing off the property and cleaning all of the illegally dumped trash and debris. Vandals had taken over the abandoned domes, painting graffiti, destroying the structures, building fires inside, having raves and numerous other reportedly strange things.  The new owners are selling the property and at present allow visitors with permission, as the structures are dangerous and crumbling down.  Not to mention, there are tunnels (which were to serve as air vents for the plant) that homeless are said to live in.  Not the most safe place to wander around alone, but worth a visit...even if you just take photos.  

 There is talk of them being haunted, and several ghost hunters and ghost shows have investigated them.  I have no doubt that energy of the last 20 years exists and is trapped in the domes, but there is no history of death connected to them.  My thought is that perhaps it is the land that is haunted and the domes act like a bowl of sorts, keeping the energy contained within.  Whatever is going on in them, one thing is for sure, they are bizarre and a bit unsettling to walk through.  The acoustics only lend to the amplification of every little sound.

If you go, remember this land is posted and the owners would prefer if you call them (they have a sign with their phone number) first and arrange it.  If you brave going in remember...you are trespassing, the structures are crumbling down, there is trash everywhere, the air vents are sometimes hard to see and one miss step could mean injury, not to mention the tunnels may have people inside them, and the domes may be haunted by someone or something.
