The call of the wild!

We both felt it was important to not only share our ghost tramps and history of the places we visit, but to also share the amazing wildlife you may run across on these tramping adventures.  In the desert Southwest one should always pay attention to your steps.  We have rattlesnakes here and they love rocks, cool shade and when it is chilly to bask in the sand.  Mind how you go out there. Here is one we came across.
Rattlesnakes don't strike without reason and will try to avoid or warn you if you get too close.  Other creatures who like to hide under rocks are these guys...
In other words, use caution when out and about.

Other amazing creatures you may see if you are lucky....
Okay... not wild, but so sweet a find!

Again, sometimes the critters aren't "wild" but this bull had no problems standing his ground against our car!

By the way, these guys are poisonous (Gila Monster) but they are not aggressive and slow moving.

We value, honor and respect nature.  We are visitors to their home.  Be mindful.
